ABOUT FECKING TIME!!!!.... ahahaha!.. *only joking* ..
well, this is kinda strange.. listening to the soundtrack before i've seen the film.. i kept hoping for a UK release, but maybe that's not happening?.. will just have to find myself a US import of the film....
anyways!.. i've just purchased/downloaded the above soundtrack and had a wee listen to each of the tracks.. (i'll listen to them later in full with headphones on so that i can devote my whole attention to them).... but from the snippets i've heard, it sounds like yet another breathtaking musical masterpiece from Mr Dillon!!
.. *BIG love + fuzzy hugs for Mr Dillon for being such a freakin' talented genius*..

well, having listened to The Collector a number of times now (and having jumped out of my skin umpteen times whilst listening to it), a few words spring to mind.... SCARY. SEXY. ASTOUNDING. POWERFUL. .. it really blows me away every time!.... the anticipation waiting to see the film is killing me (in a good way).. but y'know, i'm actually quite glad i've been listening to the score before watching the film.. it gives it a really intense and exciting build up....
.. oh also.. y'know how some movie scores can be kinda lengthy, repetitive and quite boring in general?.. (obviously this does NOT apply to yours, heh).. well, in my humble little opinion, i think The Collector score can stand out on it's own.. y'know, would be just as excellent released without the movie.. and yea, i know you needed the film/storyline to create the music, but even if you had just 'made up' some sort of a storyline to fit the music (or vice versa depending on how you work).. does that make any sense?.. i'm useless at trying to explain.. basically, i can listen to your score of The Collector just as if it were a normal cd album.. which is well-good, as if it were a 'normal' movie score, i'd listen to it a few times and think "hey, that really fits the movie well".. or "great stuff", etc, and then not really bother with it.. but with YOUR score i can happily listen to it over and over.. again and again and again!!.. :-D
.. *love, love, love + more love*.. audrey x.
