a few weeks back, while finishing up a licensing project with programmer/engineer anthony "hey...yo, anthony" baldino, he and i discussed collaborating on an experimental recording project. the idea was to start with a completely clean slate and a limited palette of instruments; to begin writing, producing, recording, mixing and mastering an entire record within 3 months.
we've been getting together (as often as schedules will allow) for the past 2 weeks and are now finished with drum tracks on 6 songs. as of right now, a singer has not been chosen but we are looking to fill that void within the next 3 weeks. for the time being, the plan is to keep writing and recording as quickly as possible to finish and release a record in a very short amount of time. this project will be the exact opposite (on all levels, creatively and otherwise) of my last excursion with Nearly.
